Baby Blessing

We blessed Aubrey the first Sunday in March (sorry, I'm a little slow to blog). It was such a great day. We had most of our family, and some of our friends there. Wyatt gave a beautiful blessing and Aubrey looked beautiful.
My mom tried to capture all parts of Aubrey getting ready. Here she is in the tub.
Her dad bathed her and got her dressed.
But mom had to come in and do her hair.
My friend, Susan Patterson, made this beautiful blanket for her.

Here is Aubrey with mom & dad. I usually like to get a picture of the whole family, but my kids were all too busy playing with cousins and friends to take a picture.
Before church my mom got pictures of everyone from my side of the family that came out for the blessing. Here are all the little girl cousins.
Here are the big girl cousins with my mom, my sisters, and me.
(I guess Sadie thought she was pretty big)
And here are all the boys. The boys are really outnumbered without Bryce's family. We really missed them. It's to bad they live so far away.

Room with a view

Here are two pictures that I took just outside my bedroom window this morning.
The colors in the sunrise were so much brighter than they are in the picture.
The deer had been moving pretty quickly until they got to the top of the hill, then they almost stopped and posed for the camera.
I love my view!

More baby pics

I can't believe my baby is almost two months old. She is growing so much. She is so much fun.
BATH TIME
Just chillin' in the bathtub. She loves her bath.

Aubrey gets plenty of loving at our house. Sadie, especially wants to hold her and touch her all the time. Sometimes she gets a little too much loving.

Aubrey was asleep and her headband fell down and became a blindfold. Sometimes it becomes a necklace. There are all kinds of uses for the baby headband.

Aubrey is such a smiley baby. I keep trying to catch a big grin on camera, but can't quite get it. This is the closest I could get.

Birthday Fun

We were in St. George over Brynli's birthday, but we still made her a cake and sang to her in the motorhome that we stayed in.
She wanted to go swimming at the rec. center for her birthday, so when we got back from St. George we had a family party at the pool. Brynli and Sadie were playing so cute together while the boys were doing tricks off the diving board. At one point Brynli stayed at the bottom of the slide to catch Sadie, and then Sadie waited at the bottom to catch Brynli. It was so cute. Aubrey and I just hung out and watched the fun.

Then on Sunday we had a party at grandma's and opened presents. I think Brynli's expressions are so cute.

Melanie came through once again with a darling cake. She let Brynli pick out the cake she wanted and Brynli was so excited about it. That's all I heard about for a week.

Wyatt's birthday is the day before Brynli's so it kind of gets lost. He let's her have all the spotlight. We didn't forget about him though. Happy Birthday Wyatt and Brynli!

Just Aubrey

My mom keeps bugging me to put more pictures of Aubrey on here so she can see how she has changed. So here are some pictures of Aubrey from the last month.

Look, you can almost see a smile! She must be having a good dream.

She has pretty crazy morning hair.

She's growing so much, she's about grown out of this outfit.

And baby makes seven!

Wow! Five kids, seven in our family. It sure seems like a lot. I look at this family picture and see a big family. I never really thought I would have a big family (I guess I never really thought about it much), but here I am with a big family. I wouldn't change a thing. I love it! Aubrey has been such a fun addition to our family. She is such a good baby, and she just belongs. All the kids just love her to death (a little too much sometimes). And everyone is so helpful (well, most of the time). Everyone keeps asking how it is to have 5 kids, and really it has been pretty good. I really think the adjustment to 3 or 4 kids was harder than 5 has been. I think maybe it's because my kids are older and pretty helpful. Plus they are in school most of the day. The fact that Wyatt is no longer the bishop and is home most nights to help is great. And Aubrey is such a good baby. I'm pretty a little more relaxed myself. Maybe the fact that we are in a bigger house and not on top of each other is helpful too. We love our big family, and are all doing great!
