The week of Christmas we got a big snowstorm. They even had a "snow day" at school one day, which does not happen very often here. My kids actually had 2 snow days, because the first day of the storm they did not close the schools, but there was a semi that jack-knifed on the hill by our house. The bus couldn't get up the hill to pick the kids up, and I couldn't get down the hill to take them to school. They were glad to miss school even if it meant missing fun Christmas activities. Because of the storm we just stayed home and didn't go anywhere. It was nice to just enjoy the kids and the beautiful view. It sure made for a nice White Christmas.
This is the view from off my deck.
This is my deck before Wyatt had a chance to shovel.
You can see the snow a little better in this picture.
