dinosaur bones and indian carvings

It has been so nice to have a little property were our kids can play and explore outside. Yesterday, I was cleaning the kitchen while Derek and Brynli were playing outside. All of the sudden Brynli bursts into the kitchen to tell me that they found some bones. I asked her what kind of bones they found and she says, "I think they are dinosaur bones, can we take them to the museum?"

Later as I go outside to have the kids come in for dinner Derek is coming up the hill with a stick in his hand. He shows me this walking stick that he has found and says, "This is a real walking stick because it has Indian carvings on it."

I am so glad that my kids live in a place where they can find dinosaur bones and Indian carvings. Oh, to be a kid again.

I can't wait till we get our yard in. But at the same time, I love seeing Allison and Matthew playing outside with their tractors. We will have to leave them a pile of dirt to play in.

I think I told you before how much I LOVED growing up in that area!
I am so glad my parents are still there so my kids can have somewhere cool to go. We are gonna end up there someday!
